This Privacy Policy explains how Philosophical Creations ("PinTrips," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our trip planning application available at pintrips.io and as mobile applications for iOS and Android (the "Service").

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, password (encrypted), and name.
Trip Content
You provide trip details, locations, notes, schedules, photos, and tags when using the Service.
Email Content and AI Processing
When you paste or import travel itineraries and booking confirmations, we analyze the content using AI (currently OpenAI) to extract travel information such as reservations, flights, and hotels. We may identify, develop, and use intelligent systems and models, including third-party AI services, to recognize and extract travel information from the content you provide.
Important: We only use email content you provide to extract travel information and improve user-facing features. We will not use or transfer such information (even if aggregated or anonymized) for serving ads, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by third-party processors (Stripe for web, Apple and Google for mobile apps). We store only your subscription status and billing email, not your full payment details.
Device and Usage Data
We collect device type, operating system, browser type, IP address, and log data when you use the Service.
Location Data
When you grant permission, we collect location data to show your position on maps and find nearby places. Location is only collected when you actively use location features, not continuously or in the background. You can disable location access through your device settings at any time.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Payment Processors
Stripe (web), RevenueCat, Apple, and Google process payments. We receive only subscription status information.
Other APIs
We use weather and flight information APIs to provide forecasts and flight status updates.
When you share a trip with others, we share your trip data (locations, notes, schedules, photos) according to the permissions you set. You can share trips with both PinTrips users and non-users.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
